A UFO called Cherubim in Phoenicia (Extract)
Mythologies over the five continents offer stories about visits of beings from elsewhere who had encounters with man. Most of those visitors brought some knowledge and sometimes a new genetic patrimony. A strange evolution took place at the end of prehistoric times. Suddenly, the yesterday nomad carried out titanic structures and gigantic contructions which, though enigmatic, still raise admiration and interrogation.
Generally, visitors came aboard discoid vessels sparkling with light and spitting flames. Landings were often as loud and explosive as crossing the sound barrier.
The cherubim differs from these phenomena in the number of its eyes and wings. It caught our interest because of its distinctive features and its first description by the Phoenicians.

FROM THE LEGEND TO THE NASA
Erich Von Däniken made a masterful synthesis of legends which support his theory of extraterrestrial visits. Although this is not our purpose, we notice a similarity between these stories; their heroes represented as winged beings were worshipped in various cults.
The Middle East was no exception. Very early, the Bible attested the presence of Elohim’s sons among men’s daughters.
Ge 6:2 That the sons of God (ELOHIM) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Although he was skeptical at first, Joseph Blumrich, an engineer of the NASA, linked the historical fact to a scientific diagram. Having read The Chariots Of The Gods by Erich von Däniken, he studied carefully the book of Ezekiel, giving full value to each word; then he methodically designed a flying machine. He cleared the confusion in the text about a fairly complex wheel that he patented as the “omnidirectional wheel”.
The wealth of details about the shape of the shuttle, the proportion of its elements, its sounds and its behavior on landing and takeoff made it credible to our researcher. Blumrich went further when he concluded that this shuttle, with a landing gear, was part of a fleet from a space station. So, we can see the parallel with the cherubim and the primordial egg of the Phoenician god Mot, source of life -- we will develop this point further.
The older sky was much more animated than nowadays, unless man’s imagination was more fertile. Beside the chariots of Enoch and Elijah we find in the book of Jeremiah a fresco about heavens’ inhabitants.
Ge 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
The story of Ezekiel is the latter and most eloquent in this part of the world, this is why we will study it first. Then we will go back in history to put into light the similarity between the design of the vessel and that of the cherubim, both described by the Phoenicians.

ABOUT TIME
What was the duration of these trips?
According to Ezekiel it seems that they were instantaneous.
Psalms 90
90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
Surat 22 : AL-HAJJ The Pilgrimage
47 ...Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.
1000 years = 9460 730, 473 billions km
The day is not equal to a day.
Surat 70: AL-MAARIJ The Ascending Stairways
4 The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years:
50 000 Years = 473 036 523, 65 billions km
Surat 97: AL-QADR The Fate
1 We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:
3 The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
4 Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand:
5 Peace!...This until the rise of morn!
12H = 1000 lunar months = 29 500 days = 80.77 solar years = 764 111,02 billions km
While the first two verses are contemplative and static, the others are dynamic, they describe a travel: " ascend unto him - come down the angels and the Spirit”
Could this be an indication of planets or constellations?
FROM MYTHOLOGY TO THEOLOGY
When mythology invades theology, it is difficult to get it out. For instance, the bravery of St George has only been downgraded since half a century. The legend of Eden, which derived from the Babylonian Poem of Creation, still haunts the doctrine and pollutes its philosophy through the fall of mankind. Mythology is theology without fanaticism!
The cherubim made a good career in monotheism and still feeds mysticism. It is present in the Koran in the VIIth C:
Surat 35 : FAATIR The Originator
1 Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs):
These winged creatures haunt all mythologies. Beside their multitude of eyes and wings, the cherubim always emits light. The Psalms and the Koran proposed their creation from a flaming fire.
Ez 1:27 And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about
Psalms104:4 Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:
Sourate 55 AR-RAHMAN The Beneficient15 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:
FROM THEOLOGY TO MYTHOLOGY
Ezekiel used his miraculous visions to authenticate the messages he delivered. He followed the example of Moses on Mount Sinai. We have demystified those supposed facts in our essay "The Ten Commandments & Phoenicia". Ezekiel’s arguments were more plausible except that such a phenomenon could not go unnoticed by the crowd. Nevertheless, we recognize his intelligence and his talent.
Solitary visions leave us very doubtful, any testimony would have been welcome. At one point he seemed to doubt:
Ez 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Ez 10:14 And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. (The ox disappeared)
Ez 10:22 And the likeness of their faces was the same faces which I saw by the river of Chebar, their appearances and themselves (the doubt): they went every one straight forward.
Probably it was not the same machine, this is why Blumrich talks about the spaceships of Ezekiel in the plural.
And if Ezekiel had seen nothing?
Would he describe an existing module?
Could he be inspired by an older text?
In the same way, the other books of the Torah result from a compilation of ancient texts.
MY PROOFS
THE CONCEPT OF THE CHERUBIM
BASINS of the TEMPLE OF JERUSALEM
MASTER HIRAM OF TYRE X th BC
The great architect, Hiram of Tyre, was inspired by Phoenician mythology when he achieved the 11 bronze basins of ablution in front of the Temple of Jerusalem.
1 KINGS
7:23 And he made a molten sea, ten cubits from the one brim to the other: it was round all about, and his height was five cubits: and a line of thirty
7:26 And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.
7:27 And he made ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits the breadth thereof, and three cubits the height of it.
7:28 And the work of the bases was on this manner: they had borders, and the borders were between the ledges
7:29 And on the borders that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim: and upon the ledges there was a base above: and beneath the lions and oxen were certain additions made of thin work.
7:30 And every base had four brazen wheels, and plates of brass: and the four corners thereof had undersetters: under the laver were undersetters molten, at the side of every addition. cubits did compass it round about.
7:32 And under the borders were four wheels; and the axletrees of the wheels were joined to the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
7:33 And the work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axletrees, and their naves, and their felloes, and their spokes, were all molten.
The futuristic creator conceived the basins as saucers resting on four wheels, although no chariot was
* metallic,
* of hemispherical shape
* and without hitch.
Even so fitted with wheels, they were motionless, just inspiring dynamics. The same image is evident in Ezekiel’s vision four centuries later; he described a basin of Hiram in motion, moved by divine power. The analogy is of staggering precision: the hemispherical shape, in metal, corresponds to a tank resting on four wheels surmounted by the same imposing decoration.
Ezekiel incorporated verbatim the work of the great architect inspired by the cherubim described by Sanchoniaton.
After 30 years of modest research, we have never found any author who noticed the similarity of the two texts.
Phoenician artisans used the same representation of the cherubim in liturgical objects.
ORIGIN OF THE CONCEPT
SANCHONIATON OF BEIRUT
XIII th CBC
We owe to the Phoenician theologian, Sanchoniaton of Beirut, the description of the cherubim after a careful research back to Hermes--Thoth of Byblos in the IVth millennium BC.
We rely on the testimony of Eusebius of Caesarea, a renowned historian and bishop of the fourth century, in The Evangelical Preparation (Migne 1843).
Book I. Chapter IX:
“These concepts are reflected in the Phoenicians’ writings ...
Sanchoniaton wrote history in ancient Phoenician idiom with the greatest accuracy, relying on the documents he collected partly in cities’ archives and in those kept in temples...
Sanchoniaton according to Eusebius:
Book I, Chapter X
“He also invented for EL (Ilus, also called Saturn), the insignia of royalty: four eyes were placed in front of and behind the face, two were closed; four wings attached to the shoulders, two were taking their flight, the other two were lowered. It was heard that EL was ever seeing even asleep, and concerning the wings this symbol meant that EL (Saturn) was ever flying even at rest.”
Sanchoniaton invented for El the symbol of the cherubim. To take care of the creation, he must fly and watch constantly.
ABOUT THE EYES
“...four eyes were placed in front of and behind the face, two were closed;”
EZ 1:18 As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
EZ 10:12 And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
The eyes are probably a series of light bulbs.
This Phoenician story is illustrated by the Greeks’ excellent guardian of the Olympus: hundred--eyes Argus. When Hermes overcame him with music, its eyes were spread on the wheel of a peacock (Taous in Arabic). "Melek Taous" Archangel Peacock still watches over the Yézidites in the Fertile Crescent.
The meaning of this allegory regarding the eyes is that God can see while asleep and sleeps when awake.
ABOUT THE WINGS
Sanchoniaton precised the wings’ position:
“...Four wings attached to the shoulders, two were taking their flight, the other two were lowered.”
EZ 1:11 Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
1:23 And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
1:25 And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
The position of the wings had a symbolic meaning: the god soars while he rests, and rests while he flies.
MORAL
The Phoenician cherubim EL must look after the creation. Doubling the number of eyes and wings assured him the ability to fly and watch over the universe continuously. A fantastic and sterile statement became a gesture of love.
We believe that, even if he did not see anything, Ezekiel had all the ingredients of Phoenician objects and texts allowing him to develop his visions. He used them to give solemnity to his messages and then to utter some anti-Phoenician invectives against Tyre and Sidon.
GENERAL VIEW
As mentioned before, according to Blumrich, there should have been a space station nearby which could release vessels suitable for landing. Master Hiram conceived one large immovable basin and ten small ones equipped with wheels as for landing. The volume of the large basin equaled 50 times that of a small. The similarity of the two versions is striking and it has an ancient origin:
The god Mot is represented by an opalescent "primordial egg", its ovoid shape and brightness are consistent with an orbital station.
The Evangelical Preparation,
Book I. Chapter X
" Phoenicians’ Theology.
The Spirit conceived out of love for His own principles... From the union of the Spirit with its own principles was formed (god) MOT. Some say it's a loam, others a corruption of an aqueous mixture, which came from seeds of creation ...
It gleamed along with MOT the sun, the moon and the stars. "
Eusebius concludes:
"This is the cosmogony of the Phoenicians, which obviously introduced atheism."
Zeno The Phoenician, founder of Stoicism in the fourth CBC, incorporated god MOT into the "Seminal Reason: Logos Spermatikos", where all forms of life are in a quiescent state.
MOCHOS OF SIDON
XIII th CBC.
At the same time another atomistic cosmogony spread through Phoenicia, based on the concept of Mochos of Sidon who taught as a prophet:
" Matter is made of infinitesimal particles wrapped in a multitude of vacuums. These particles are tomes rather than atoms. If disintegrated, these tomes produce a fire that can burn a city."
Better to hover in an unbridled dream than to burn!
