Chronology
1941 - Norikian was born on January first in Beirut, Lebanon. Since early childhood, he is passionately attracted to drawing and painting and dreams of becoming a painter.
1955-65 - Works with his uncle as a typesetter.
1959-60 - Follows art courses at the Italian Institute of Fine Arts in Beirut under the direction of Fernando Mannetti and Jean Khalife.
1960 - Meets the painter Guvder at the Italian Institute of Fine Arts.
1960-61 - Works in an advertising and printing company at Starco Building (Publicité Orientale).
1963-65 - Studies drawing and painting at the Guvder Art School in Beirut.
1964-66 - Works as an assistant instructor at Guvder Art School.
1965 - Participated in the opening exhibition of L'Amateur Gallery in Beirut.
1965 - Travels to Italy and studies at the Pietro Vanucci Academy in Perugia.
1966 - Holds his first exhibition of prints at the hall of L'Orient newspaper in Beirut.
1967 - First participation in the Autumn Salon of Nicolas Sursock Museum in Beirut.
1967 - Contributes to the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris.
1968 - Went to France and studies at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the atelier of Lucien Coutaud for engraving and Legreaux for painting.
1969 - Achieves a series of original colour lithographs.
1969 - Returns to Beirut.
1969 - Exhibits paintings, watercolours and lithographs at L'Amateur gallery in Beirut.
1970 - Exhibits paintings, watercolours and lithographs at L'Amateur gallery in Beirut
1971 - Participates in the exhibition "Armenian Painters of the Middle East'' organized by UGAB in Beirut, and wins the First Prize.
1971 - Participates in ''EXPO 71'' organized by Hamaskaine Cultural Association at the hall of the Ministry of Tourism in Beirut.
1971 - Travels to Canada and exhibits paintings and lithographs at the Spectrum Capricorn Gallery in Ottawa.
1972 - Participates in the Lebanese exhibition at the Abenakademie in Mannheim in Germany.
1972 - Participates in a group exhibition ''13 Contemporary Painters'' at Gallery One in Beirut.
1972 - Exhibits engravings and lithographs at Contact Art Gallery in Beirut.
1972 - Exhibits engravings and lithographs at the opening of Alex Monougian Cultural Center in Beirut alongside Lebanese contemporary artists.
1972 - Contributes to the International Print Biennial in Buenos Aires in Argentina.
1973 - Exhibits paintings at Alex Mounougian Cultural Center in Beirut.
1976 - Travels to Paris and lives there until 2003.
1977 - Travels to the United States.
1978 - Contributes to the Second International Print Triennial in Givet, France.
1978 - Exhibits paintings, watercolours and lithographs at the Armenian Library Museum of America, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
1978 - Exhibits paintings, watercolours and lithographs at the Aharonian Cultural Center in Montreal, Canada.
1979 - Exhibits at the Tekeyan Cultural Association paintings, watercolours and lithographs at the AGBU Art Center in Los Angeles, California.
1979 - Publishes his prints in book form (1965-1968) with a preface by Jean Luc Mercier, BAL edition in Washington D.C.
