Artist Biography
Amal Al Najjar is a Lebanese artist, born in 1961 in Deir El Qamar.
She holds a Master degree in Plastics Arts from the Lebanese University of Fines Arts and a BA in Theology from the Sagesse University.
Member of the Lebanese Artists Association for Painters and sculptures.
Member of the association of the world of arts and heritage.
Amal is Multi-styled, she experienced many movements like impressionism, expressionism, paysagism, portraiture and abstract art.
Amal’s paintings are characterised by a warm colour wheel that touches the vibrations in the soul, eliciting strong feelings.
Through her paintings, she represents the beauty of the Lebanese cultural heritage. Coordinating the medium with her subjects, the artist experiments with oils, acrylics and mixed media.
Not limited to painting, Amal is also passionate about sculpture, mosaic art, iconography and calligraphy.
She has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, and Estival de Deir El Kamar "Journée des Peintres" in 2009 and 2010. Serail des Emires, Deir el Kamar 7/7/2012 and 2013. Also, she has held a solo exhibition in the “Centre Culturel de Sin-el Fil 2014, and in 2019. February's splash of colours 8/2/2014, Ramlet el Bayda.

Art is an unconscious expression of the human being, translating them into languages that he alone can express and transmit to others. Beauty is relative, everything is beautiful in itself, and what distinguishes it is the human experience with his feelings. A true artist cannot be as others want him to be. He expresses himself through the subconscious that stores him, and sometimes it gives rise to

The United Nations information centre and the association of the world of art and Heritage organized art exhibition Untitled "Sustainable Development Goals 2019. The artwork Untitled "Untying Life" by Amal Al Najjar took the third price in the category of women empowerment.
