Artist Statement:
Painting with Passion
Zeina El-Fakhri is a young painter newly graduated who has for the last two years been working in her chosen field. From one exhibition to another, she has made a name for herself. Her latest collective show held in France . For her, to paint is "to live a passion that moves me until a work is completed. This intense fire is then banked until the time comes for a new work".
The painters whose work most attracts her are Gibran Khalil Gibran and Vincent van Gogh, but she has drawn inspiration from all the great masters.
Hailing from Bsherri, in the forest mountains of North Lebanon , she has spent her life there and in Beirut . Being able to spend the summers in the cool highlands among the millennial cedars has been something she cherishes, and it has perhaps been part of what has inspired the feelings expressed on her canvases, which go from the figurative to the abstract, with lively colors and certain cheerfulness.
